Setup PPTP VPN on Android (UDP)

PPTP is the most common protocol used online in VPN. Following are the stepbystep guide to setup PPTP VPN on Android system manually.

Steps for connecting PPTP VPN Android


Step #1: On your Android devices tap on Menu>Settings.

Step #2: Tap on "More connection settings" (or it could be written as only "More" depending on your mobile phone model/ brand).

Step #3: Tap on "VPN".

Step #4: Tap on "Add VPN" (or there could be a "+" sign instead of "Add VPN").

Step #5: Do the following
a. Enter VPN name such as "OneVPN PPTP VPN"
b. Select "PPTP" in Type drop down menu.
c. Enter a server address such as I entered USA-Dallas server address here as an example. You can get the complete list of servers from here.
d. Tap on "Save".

Step #6: Now you can see a VPN connection has been created. Tap on this connection.

Step #7: Enter your username and password provided by OneVPN, check "Save account information" and then tap on "Connect".

Step #8: It will be connected in a few seconds.

How to Disconnect

To disconnect, just tap on the VPN connection and then tap on "Disconnect".

How to Change VPN Server

Step #1: Tap on "Settings" icon.

Step #2: Remove the previously written VPN server address, enter your desired one and tap on "Save".

Step #3: Now tap on the VPN connection and then on "Connect". You will be connected to your desired server shortly.
